Clinic Description

The University of Cincinnati’s Physicians Company’s Opioid Treatment Program offers drug and alcohol rehab services in Cincinnati, Ohio. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Addiction research and college courses are also offered in the program. Services are available in English and Spanish.

At The Addiction Sciences Division, clients are assessed and receive an individualized treatment program. Licensed clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone and other pharmacological services, to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Clients are supervised during dosing and throughout their treatment.

In addition to medication management, clients participate in individual and group counseling to build resilience and enhance emotional wellness. Clients may also receive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. A mobile clinic is available for emergencies. Select clients may also be eligible for research and clinical studies into substance use disorder. The center may make referrals to outside facilities and specialized substance abuse programs.

The University of Cincinnati offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in-network with Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
