STEP MED

Located in Dallas, Texas, STEP MED offers outpatient drug rehab services for adults in addiction recovery. Their programs include ambulatory detox, medication-assisted treatment, general outpatient care and aftercare support. Specialized services are available for pregnant and postpartum women, seniors, intravenous drug users, and clients with co-occurring addiction and mental illness.

Their MAT program combines intervention services, individual and group counseling, recovery education, anger management courses and evidence based therapies including dialectical behavioral therapy. Trauma informed therapists work with clients whose substance abuse disorders are linked to past crises. Licensed physicians can administer FDA-approved medications to help clients detox from opiates and other substances, providing a comprehensive approach to substance abuse treatment. Medications used to treat opiate addictions include methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. These can help ease withdrawal symptoms and improve patient comfort during the detox phase.

Once detox is complete, clients will receive aftercare services to support their long-term sobriety. These can include outpatient counseling services and connections to other, community-based recovery programs. Clients who require extended pharmacotherapy services can access designated MAT maintenance programs.
