Clinic Description

Nebraska Medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center provides primary and behavioral health care services for children, adolescents, and adults in Omaha, Nebraska. Their programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for clients in addiction recovery, as well as intensive outpatient (IOP) and general outpatient (OP) programs and aftercare services. Specialized care is available for pregnant and postpartum women and clients with co-occurring conditions.

Their MAT program allows clients to withdraw from alcohol, opioids, and other substances under medical supervision. As required, providers can administer Suboxone, an FDA-approved addiction medication, to ease the severity of withdrawal symptoms, reduce the risk of relapse, and minimize drug cravings.

In conjunction with MAT, they also offer outpatient services to help clients learn more about their addictions, address underlying factors, and develop healthy habits for long-term recovery. Services are tailored to meet the needs of each client and may include individual and group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric treatment. Aftercare services may include connections to other departments within Nebraska Medical Center or recovery-focused providers throughout the community.

Nebraska Medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center accepts most commercial insurance plans including Tricare, Aetna, First Health, and others. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid. Speak to your provider to verify your coverage as out-of-network benefits may vary.
