Clinic Description

George Raad, MD is a family medicine practitioner, concierge medical practitioner, and internal medicine specialist practicing at multiple locations throughout Charlotte, North Carolina including CarolinaMD, Atrium Health, and StartBupe, a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program for adolescents and adults in addiction recovery. His services include inpatient medical detox, outpatient treatment, and aftercare support, including specialized services for intravenous drug users, pregnant and postpartum women, and clients with co-occurring conditions. Telehealth appointments may be available.

His inpatient MAT program allows clients to detox from alcohol, opioids, and other substances in a medically supervised environment. Dr. Raad can administer FDA-approved medications, including buprenorphine and Suboxone, to lessen the physical effects of withdrawal and support client comfort.

Clients receive 24-hour nursing care in a holistic healing environment, which also includes personalized counseling sessions and support services. Clients in Dr. Raad’s outpatient program can schedule a telehealth appointment to undergo an individualized assessment and receive a prescription, if required to help them overcome their substance abuse disorder. Virtual pastoral care and group therapy sessions are also available to support long-term recovery.

Dr. Raad may be in-network with most major insurance providers, including Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, BlueCross/BlueShield, United Healthcare, and others. Contact your individual provider to verify coverage as out-of-network benefits can vary.

Dr. Raad is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Where do calls go?

Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Calls to any general helpline will be answered or returned by one of the treatment providers listed, each of which is a paid advertiser: ARK Behavioral Health, Recovery Helpline, Alli Addiction Services.

By calling the helpline you agree to the terms of use. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a caller chooses. There is no obligation to enter treatment.
