Dr. Jawed Hussain, MD

Dr. Jawed Hussain, MD is a board-certified physical medicine doctor and rehabilitation specialist at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute Rehabilitation – San Marco in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to helping clients with disabilities restore function and mobility, Dr. Hussain provides medication assisted treatment, general outpatient services, and aftercare support for adults in addiction recovery. This includes specialized services for intravenous drug users, pregnant and postpartum women, and clients with co-occurring conditions.

Dr. Hussain’s MAT program helps clients safely detox from opiates and alcohol under careful medical supervision. As necessary, he can administer FDA-approved medications, including methadone and buprenorphine, to improve client comfort and help ease withdrawal symptoms.

His outpatient services are tailored to meet the individual needs of each client and may include individual counseling, treatment planning, group therapy, and case management. Clients who require longer-term pharmacotherapy can access MAT maintenance programs.
