Clinic Description
Located in Long Beach, California, Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center provides primary and mental health care services for military members, veterans, and their families. Their programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) and general outpatient (OP) programs, and aftercare services. Dedicated services are available for adolescents, young adults, seniors, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and clients with co-occurring disorders.
Their MAT program helps clients safely withdraw from opioids, alcohol, and other substances. As needed, providers may be able to administer FDA-approved addiction medications, including methadone, to improve client comfort, reduce the severity of symptoms, and minimize drug cravings.
In conjunction with MAT, they also offer outpatient services to help clients learn more about addiction, discover and address their triggers, and learn healthy coping skills for recovery. Available services include individual and group counseling as well as holistic activities including yoga, healthy cooking, meditation, and related wellness practices.
In addition to military benefits, Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center accepts most major insurance plans, such as Cigna, Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, and others. Speak to your provider to verify your coverage as out-of-network benefits may vary. Financial assistance is also available.
