Clinic Description
Cornell University Medical College Midtown Center for Treatment and Research offers outpatient detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and counseling for adults struggling with opioid, alcohol, or nicotine use in New York, New York. They also offer court-ordered DWI screenings and treatment, gender-specific treatment groups, dual-diagnosis care, and specialty programs for professionals, those with liver transplants, and for gay and bisexual men who use crystal meth.
MAT treatment allows clients to use FDA-approved medication over a longer term to address withdrawal symptoms, manage cravings, and lower the chance of relapse. Along with the medication, participants receive evidence-based addiction treatment to help them create a substance-free life that eventually doesn’t require medical support.
In support of MAT, the Midtown Center offers outpatient services that include evaluations, individual and group therapy, medication management, anger and stress management classes, and relapse prevention. They also offer support for those needing court-ordered DWI treatment and provide a variety of specialty treatment groups.
Cornell University Medical College Midtown Center for Treatment and Research accepts multiple insurance plans, such as BlueCross BlueShield, Empire BlueCross, Aetna, and Medicaid. They may also be able to use out of network benefits from your insurance plan. Because insurance plans vary, be sure to verify coverage information and out of network details with your insurer.
