Located in Monmouth County’s Aberdeen township, Cliffwood, New Jersey is an unincorporated community that had a population of 2,974 in 2010. This community is small, but there are still residents here in need of a Cliffwood methadone clinic, just as there are so many people across the state in need of methadone clinics in New Jersey. For optimum results, methadone treatment should continue for at least 12 months. Other treatments that should accompany methadone, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or family counseling, will likely step down in intensity throughout that same year, but it is important that methadone therapy stay consistent, to keep the physical symptoms of opioid addiction at bay. Although some patients remain on methadone indefinitely, other patients do taper off this medication after careful consideration and discussion with their doctor. This is not a choice to be taken lightly, and the process must be very slow, and observed very closely and honestly so that the individual does not risk losing any of their recovery success.
