Clinic Description

Located in Little Rock, Arkansas, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Center for Addiction Services and Treatment provides addiction recovery services for adults. Their programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient treatment, and aftercare services. Dedicated support is available for clients in rural communities and clients with co-occurring addictions and mental health disorders.

Their MAT services help clients withdraw from opioids as they prepare to begin their recovery journey. Clients in rural locations can access these services through the Medication Assisted Treatment Recovery Initiative for Arkansas Rural Communities (MATRIARC). A partnership between UAMS, the Psychiatric Research Institute, and the state’s Department of Human Services, this program expands MAT access to all clients who require it. As needed, providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications to improve client comfort, reduce cravings, and lower the risk of relapse during the detox phase.

In addition to MAT, they provide outpatient services to address underlying emotional, social, and behavioral issues linked to the client’s addiction. Available services include individual and group counseling, life skills training, and recovery education. Providers can also offer referrals within the UAMS Health network and the greater community to support clients’ long-term recovery needs.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Center for Addiction Services and Treatment may accept most forms of commercial insurance, including BlueCross/BlueShield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and others. Ask your individual provider to verify your coverage as out-of-network benefits can vary.

Where do calls go?

Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Calls to any general helpline will be answered or returned by one of the treatment providers listed, each of which is a paid advertiser: Rehab Media Group, Recovery Helpline, Alli Addiction Services.

By calling the helpline you agree to the terms of use. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a caller chooses. There is no obligation to enter treatment.
