Clinic Description

The Center for Health Care Services offers drug rehab services, including opioid recovery, in San Antonio, Texas. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, dual diagnosis care, inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and aftercare services for young adults and adults. Specialized programs are available for veterans, children, adolescents, homeless/indigent persons, underserved communities, pregnant and postpartum women, and gender-specific groups. Services are available in English, Amharic, Arabic, Hmong, Pashto, Persian, and Spanish.

At The Center for Health Care Services, clients undergo evaluations and are assigned to a case management team. Clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, which may include methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, or disulfiram, to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Clients also participate in counseling to prevent relapse.

In addition to medication management, clients may be eligible for residential care, family resources, and parenting classes to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Financial and housing assistance, career coaching, and life development skills can promote healthy daily living routines and build resilience. Mobile units and Telehealth options are available. The Center for Health Care Services can also make referrals for outside treatment centers and specialized substance abuse programs.

The Center for Health Care Services is accredited by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), and Texas Health and Human Services.

The Center for Health Care Services offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in a network with insurance providers, such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, TRICARE, and Wellpoint.
