Clinic Description
Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Metropolitan Detention Center provides alcohol and drug rehab services for incarcerated adults serving time at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center. Their services include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), counseling services, and aftercare support.
Their MAT program allows clients to safely detox from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs while under careful medical guidance. Providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications, including methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, naltrexone, and Vivitrol, to alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal, improve client comfort, and reduce the risk of relapse.
In conjunction with MAT, all clients receive one-on-one counseling services to help them work through their addictions, understand and address underlying conditions, and learn life skills for recovery. Treatments are individualized to meet each client’s needs, and providers can work as liaisons between the client and their primary care physician as necessary.
Metropolitan Detention Center provides services for incarcerated individuals at no cost to the client. However, providers may make referrals to outside addiction recovery resources, and those facilities may be in-network with major insurance companies, such as Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Humana, BlueCross/BlueShield, United Healthcare, and others. Contact your individual provider to check your coverage because out of network benefits can vary.
Metropolitan Detention Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). They are LegitScript-certified.
