Clinic Description

Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Metropolitan Detention Center provides alcohol and drug rehab services for incarcerated adults serving time at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center. Their services include medication assisted treatment, counseling services, and aftercare support.

Their medication program allows clients to safely detox from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs while under careful medical guidance. Providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications. These include methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, naltrexone, and Vivitrol to alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal, improve your comfort, and reduce the risk of relapse.

In conjunction with meds, all clients receive one-on-one counseling services to help them work through their addictions, understand and address underlying conditions, and learn life skills for recovery. Treatments are individualized to meet your needs. Providers can work as liaisons between you and their primary care physician as necessary.

They provide services for incarcerated individuals at no cost to the client. However, providers may make referrals to outside addiction recovery resources, and those facilities may be in-network with major insurance companies. Contact your individual provider to check your coverage because out of network benefits can vary.

They’re accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). They’re also LegitScript-certified.
