The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for veterans and pregnant and postpartum women.
At Alliance Medical Services of Pittsburgh, clients are assessed and receive an individualized treatment plan. Licensed clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal pains. Clients are supervised during dosing and throughout their treatment to discourage relapse.
In addition to medication management, clients participate in individual and group counseling using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approaches. Holistic therapy, motivational interviewing, anger management, and education workshops are also available, and clients can enroll in 12-step programs and other peer support groups. Referrals can be given to outside facilities and specialized substance abuse programs.
