Clinic Description

Homeward Bound, Inc., offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery in Dallas, Texas. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, inpatient (IP) and outpatient programs (OP), transitional housing, and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for homeless/indigent persons. Services are available in English and Spanish.

At Homeward Bound, clients must demonstrate that they are Texas residents. Clients receive an evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including Suboxone, Subutex, and other buprenorphine treatments, are used to reduce cravings and improve withdrawal. Methadone is not provided. Clients also participate in evidence-based pharmacological programs to prevent relapse.

In addition to medication management, clients attend outpatient counseling for 3-4 months. Group therapy is held in the mornings and evenings, and peer support helps to build resilience and develop healthy daily living habits. Acute cases may be referred to residential programs for 14 to 90 days for 24/7 monitoring and 5 years of aftercare support. Additional referrals may be available for substance abuse programs in outside treatment centers.

Homeward Bound is accredited by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Homeward Bound offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicaid and is in a network with Aetna, Amerigroup, BlueCross/BlueShield, Children’s Medical Center, El Paso First, Molina Healthcare, Parkland First, and Superior. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
