Medication Assisted Treatment or MAT for short is a treatment method that uses methadone as the main medication, this medication will activate the opioid receptors in the brain and helps ease the symptoms of withdrawal. Counseling services are also provided to patients. Together with licensed counselors, patients will have the opportunity to get to the bottom of the reasoning behind their dependency. This will ensure that patients have a permanent recovery with no chances of relapse.
