Clinic Description
The Goldman Clinic, formerly the Helen L. Goldman Rehabilitation Center and part of the Girard Medical Center, offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Gender-specific programs, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and homeless/indigent persons are available. Services are in English and Spanish. Additional languages may be eligible for specific programs.
At the Goldman Clinic, clients are assigned a case management team after an evaluation. Clinicians use FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol, to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal pains. Clients also participate in evidence-based counseling to prevent relapse.
Besides medication management, clients undergo group and individual counseling. Acute cases may be eligible for detox and inpatient (IP) care in the Miracles in Progress Program and the Withdraw Management and Induction Unit within the Girard Medical Center. Additional aftercare and recovery programs are available to gender-specific groups. The Goldman Clinic may make referrals to outside treatment centers for specialized substance abuse programs.
The Goldman Clinic offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in a network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Community Behavioral Health, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, United Healthcare, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
