Clinic Description

Brattleboro Retreat, located in Brattleboro, Vermont, provides mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults in a luxury setting. They offer medication-assisted treatment, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, and aftercare services. Specialized support is available for first responders, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and clients with co-occurring addictions and mental health disorders. Telehealth appointments are available.

Their MAT services help clients safely detox from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs under medical supervision. As needed, a multi-disciplinary team of providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications, including methadone and buprenorphine, to alleviate the physical discomfort of withdrawal, mitigate cravings, and lower the risk of relapse.

In conjunction with MAT, they also offer short-term inpatient care, as well as online and in-person outpatient services. While medical detox addresses the physical side of addiction, these programs allow clients to explore and overcome the psychological aspects. Treatment plans are tailored to meet the needs of each client, with available services that include individual and group therapy, life skills and stress management training, recreational therapy, and addiction education. Aftercare services include client connections to local providers that can offer additional recovery support.

Brattleboro Retreat may work with most commercial insurance providers, including Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Anthem, Cigna, Humana, United Healthcare, and others. Ask your provider to verify your coverage as out-of-network benefits can vary.

Brattleboro Retreat is Joint-Commission-accredited.
