Clinic Description

Addiction Research & Treatment Services (ARTS) is an alcohol and drug rehab, which includes opioid recovery, in Denver, Colorado. The Westside Center for Change provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for gender-specific groups, justice-involved persons, and pregnant and postpartum women.

At the Westside Center for Change, clients undergo a customized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, such as buprenorphine (Suboxone and Vivitrol), methadone, and naltrexone (Vivitrol), to ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Clients are also monitored and receive drug testing to discourage relapses. A mobile unit is in development.

In addition to medication management, clients also receive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), the Matrix Model, and art therapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. The Westside Center for Change may enroll clients in 12-step programs, and provide career coaching, family counseling, and limited legal services as clients transition into sobriety. Clients may also receive referrals to ARTS inpatient facilities for women or men, or outside treatment centers for specialized substance abuse programs.

ARTS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

The Westside Center for Change offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicaid and veterans insurance and may network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, United Healthcare, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
