In Clark County, Nevada, about 16 miles from Las Vegas, the largest city in the state, is Henderson, the second largest city, which has a population of 320,189. Henderson is part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area. Considering how necessary methadone clinics in Nevada and across the United States have become, it should be no surprise that a methadone clinic Henderson is easy to find. This is a very good thing, as residents need to have opioid addiction treatment close at hand as soon as they are ready to accept that treatment. Methadone must be taken daily under medical supervision, so having a clinic nearby makes treatment more convenient. However, even if someone must go out of their way for methadone, it is well worth it to avoid suffering the intense drug cravings and painful symptoms of withdrawal they would have to endure without daily methadone. It is understandable that many people want to quit methadone as soon as possible, but weaning off this medication should not be rushed. Ideally, methadone therapy should continue for 12 months or longer for patients to reap the maximum benefits.
