With a population of 1,680,992, Phoenix, Arizona is the capital city and the most populous city in the state. It is also the only U.S. state capital that has over one million residents. It should be no surprise that a city this large has been impacted by the opioid crisis and its people require the services of methadone clinics in Arizona. Luckily for locals here it is not difficult to find a methadone clinic Phoenix able to provide methadone therapy for opioid addiction. Methadone can be a life-saving prescription, but it can only treat the physical side of addiction. While methadone takes care of drug cravings and symptoms of withdrawal, the patient must work at other forms of addiction treatment for a full recovery. Some methadone clinics are connected to programs at larger rehabilitation facilities, but some are just for the administration of medication. Patients who are not enrolled in a program that includes a wide range of services need to find treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy sessions elsewhere.
