The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center offers alcohol and drug rehab services, which include opioid recovery in San Francisco, California. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) programs, and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for children, adolescents, homeless/indigent persons, and underserved communities.

At the Salvation Army Harbor Light Center, clients are evaluated and assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, such as methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, or disulfiram, may be used to relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Clients also undergo counseling, drug tests, and other pharmacological treatment to prevent relapse.

In addition to medication management, clients participate in individual and group therapy. Inpatient and outpatient facilities provide primary care services, work therapy, spiritual healing, and peer support, such as enrollment in 12 Steps Programs.
