BronxCare Life Recovery Center offers inpatient medical detox, inpatient alcohol and drug rehab treatment, and outpatient treatment to adults, adolescents, and children in the Bronx, New York. They offer an opioid treatment program, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and a pet therapy program where dogs visit inpatient and outpatient units.

During medical detox, which can be offered on an inpatient or outpatient basis, clients receive medication to help manage withdrawal symptoms, along with counseling to help them prepare for treatment. BronxCare Life Recovery Center helps clients create individualized recovery plans as they transition to inpatient or outpatient rehab.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is central to the opioid program and can help inpatient and outpatient clients who struggle with opioid or alcohol misuse. MAT allows clients to use specific FDA-approved medications over a longer timeframe to manage cravings and reduce the risk of relapse. These medications are used alongside evidence-based treatment so clients can ultimately create a substance-free lifestyle and taper off the medications entirely.

Inpatient treatment involves living at the Center full-time, while outpatient treatment allows clients to live at home outside of treatment hours. Both treatment options include individual, group, and family therapy; addiction education; life skills training; and relapse prevention. As treatment ends, the Center helps clients prepare for the next step in their recovery and connects them to recovery programs and community resources.
