Central Valley Clinic

Central Valley Clinic is a methadone clinic for adolescents and adults in San Jose, California, operating within the County of Santa Clara Behavioral Health Services. They provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient treatment, and aftercare services for clients in addiction recovery, including specialized services for intravenous drug users, pregnant and postpartum women, seniors, speakers of languages other than English, members of the LGBTQ+ community, military personnel and veterans, and clients with co-occurring addictions and mental health conditions.

Their MAT program allows clients to detox from alcohol, opioids, and other drugs under the supervision of a medical professional. Providers can administer FDA-approved medications, including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone (Vivitrol), to ease withdrawal symptoms and help clients feel more comfortable.

Providers may refer clients to additional community resources, including mental health services and additional recovery services, as required. This includes longer-term MAT maintenance programs for clients who require longer-term pharmacotherapy support.
