Clinic Description

Albuquerque Health Services NE methadone clinics in new Mexico offer outpatient substance abuse and mental health services to persons who are suffering from substance use disorder and or mental health issues. The methadone clinic Albuquerque also offers additional services such as psychological therapy services, screening for mental health, screening for substance abuse, drug detoxification, and maintenance. Albuquerque Health Services NE medication-assisted treatment program utilizes methadone and suboxone to stabilize brain activity allowing patients to better handle drug cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Methadone changes how patients’ brains and nervous systems react to pain. It lessens the frustrating drug cravings and alleviates the painful symptoms associated with opioids withdrawals. Unlike methadone, buprenorphine can be prescribed or dispensed in physician offices which makes it far more accessible to opioid dependents. It is the first opioid addiction medication to be this accessible. Albuquerque Health Services NE mission is to help its patient recover from substance use disorder and to guide them in living a sustainable drug-free life.
