Clinic Description

Mount Sinai West, located in New York, New York, offers inpatient detox and dual-diagnosis inpatient and outpatient alcohol and drug rehab to adults and adolescents. Services include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and specialized outpatient programs for college students, nurses, families, and individuals addicted to meth.

Inpatient detox at Mount Sinai West allows residents to be monitored for withdrawal symptoms and receive medical treatment to make detox safer and more comfortable. Detox also includes counseling to manage the emotional and mental impact of detox and prepare residents for treatment.

MAT allows patients to use FDA-approved medication over a longer term to manage cravings and reduce relapse risks. Alongside evidence-based counseling, MAT can stabilize patients while they learn to live a fully substance-free life. Mount Sinai West offers buprenorphine or naltrexone treatment for opioid misuse.

During inpatient treatment, residents engage in individual, group, and family counseling; psychiatric treatment; medication management; an intensive family program, addiction education; and relapse prevention. Treatment also includes stress-reduction training, self-help groups, nutritional counseling, and recreation activities.

Outpatient treatment is for those who are more medically stable and includes many of the same services as inpatient treatment. Mount Sinai West offers specialty outpatient programs to treat specific drug addictions and population groups.

Mount Sinai West may accept multiple insurance plans, such as Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Beacon, and United Healthcare. Be sure to check with your insurer to verify out of network benefits and other coverage information.
