Summit Medical Services methadone clinics in Pennsylvania, located in the downtown Pittsburgh area, provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to persons struggling with an addiction to opioids. The methadone clinic Pittsburgh MAT program includes the administering of methadone and buprenorphine. MAT has a proven track record for helping many persons to recover from addiction to substances such as opioids. It is clinically proven to be an effective treatment for opioid dependents. It reduces overdose risks, decreases destructive behaviors, curbs cravings, and suppresses withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid addiction. Summit Medical Services’ medication services are complimented by substance use disorder counseling and life-skills training. Treatment plans at the methadone clinic include individual and group counseling; anger management; motivational interviewing; cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, bereavement, and motivational enhancement therapies. This comprehensive approach to healing bolsters patients’ chances of achieving full recovery. Summit Medical has special arrangements in place to accommodate pregnant women. It also accepts Medicaid as well as private insurance benefits.
